Passion for high quality work places has inspired me to work with organisations to create high-performing and happy, healthy workplaces. Various studies and statistical evidence support the view that happy, healthy and engaged workforces perform at their best (see ‘Why HR is Vital’).
In 2014 I formally launched ‘Your HR Business Partner Ltd’, a consultancy that works with organisations to improve effectiveness, performance, growth and resilience. In particular SMEs* and not for profit organisations often require bespoke people management and organisational development services to meet their needs. Yet at the same time an organisation may not need, or be able to afford, a full time HR Manager, HR Business Partner or HR Director. ‘Your HR Business Partner’ can assist your business cost-effectively with bespoke services ranging from hands on HR to strategic management and business development, providing flexible support solutions to meet your people management and organisational development requirements to grow your organisation.
I have gained extensive skills and expertise in a broad range of areas during a decade in senior level posts of Director of HR, Organisational Development and Corporate Services & Partnerships, also managing other business critical areas in addition to HR such as IT, health and safety, premises, payroll, client facing areas. I also lead on business development and on promoting the organisation for 6 years and therefore has an all round experience of business insight which is ideal for assisting SMEs and not for profit organisations to grow and make the most of the resources available to them.
In particular, I have considerable experience in the education and mental health sectors, working in highly complex organisational structures, sensitively and pragmatically implementing strategy, culture and operational changes, staff engagement and in developing resilience, emotional intelligence and well-being.
